Blog Comments

A simple system I have devised for commenting on other peoples blogs, which you may find helpful is this.

List alphabetically in a file all the ones you intend to re-vist. Type in their url and it is easier and quicker to click on the url rather than trying to find them in the rotating list on your own blog.

I hope you find this useful.

Wishing you, all that you would wish yourself.

  1. Hi Bill, last year I bookmarked all of the MC students and filed them in alphabetical order on my bookmarks tab. One click acces to anyone, instantly. I pledged to visit all of them each week (about 7 blogs a day), and as people dropped out or stopped updating their blogs I deleted them from the list. The list is now considerably shorter, a good number having not renewed their hosting subscriptions this year. And I am about to add this year’s students to the list…

You have a good system. Of course if you only wanted to visit updated blogs and you all follow the course to the letter you will subscribe to those blogs you like and will be notified each time the blog is updated – providing your fellow students use their auto responder properly – this way you do not lose time visiting blogs that have not been updated!

    Enjoy the journey.

Thanks for the reply Mandy, after I made this post I was visiting your site and I noticed you advocated a similar system. I trust you didn’t think I was copying your idea and taking plaudits for it.
Your comments on dropouts is interesting, what percentage of 2009 MC students dropped out? It is always going to happen, I am just interested to know the percentage.

Thats a great idea! and will save so much time in the future, so you can be sure I will be implementing the same systems myself!

    All the best
